IPL 8 had its first "Man of the Match" before the first ball was bowled at Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Shah Rukh Khan walked into Eden with AbRam in his arms and, for once, the Badshah was (happily) upstaged. At the Eden, many were too busy video-recording every move of the little Khan - or, shall we say, the youngest Knight - to bother about how well KKR was doing. When the DJ played Abhi toh party shuru huyi hai , AbRam danced with his arms in the air. Someone handed AbRam a balloon and he kept throwing it into the stand below. He lobbed it five times and, on each occasion, a policeman handed it back to him. After the match, Shah Rukh said: "I have got my little son over here to introduce him to the city today. I want him to understand that people will love you and love you unconditionally in Kolkata."
Stepping into Calcutta, he had tweeted: "Taking so many kids for the KKR match.. it's like I am a class teacher Incharge of Nursery to Higher Secondary".
Oh, it may also be mentioned that defending champions KKR beat Mumbai Indians by seven wickets.
